chisato kuroki


Chisato Kuroki is a Japanese ceramic artist who has been living in Barcelona for many years, working in wide range from tablewear, ceramic sculptures to big projects of experimental kilns.

She is known for  "Kamigama" kiln, made with newspaper and fired with charcoal, and it can be arrived to 1300 grades.

Chisato Kuroki also has extensive experience in experimental ceramic, and performances, she built big clay house (3m diameter 2m hight and fired with wood. She participated in the last two editions of Domadores de fuego in 2010, 2011 (Muel, Zaragoza)

And she made her paper kiln FIRE MANDALA in ICF, International Ceramic Festival in Wales, England 2017.

And her studio, Espai ku she gives ceramics workshops.
